Blue Baby Cake

Hello everyone, Elin with you today.
First of all, let me just say that I'm so so sorry about the quality of my pictures today! The light was horrible and when I viewed the pics on my computer, the "Cake" had  already gone out the door...
Let's just say that the bluish tone is to set you in the right mode hehe...

Today I have a Diaper Cake to show you guys. Not sure if that's what it's called in English, but that's what we call them here in Norway. One of my close friends just gave birth to the cutest baby boy ever. She's also a good college of mine, and work ordered this as a welcome home gift:
Lovely Sandra might not approve of my contribution this week, as I have not used a single design paper! BUT there are so many other yummy things to find in her store, like this gorgeous satin ribbon. I have also used the sweet Lace Helene on the middle layer.
The gorgeous bark hearts in both sizes were used (and yes, restocks of the large ones are expected to arrive in mid September, Sandra has told me), with a touch of Stampendous Frantage in the Shabby Blue colour. The lovely roses are from the latest addition to the store: Wild Orchild Crafts. Aren't they just GORGEOUS??? I am so in love with them in every colour, so well... I'm getting them in every color there is to get them in haha :D
I have used rolled up diapers to make the cake, in three different layers. On top I tend to use either a teddy bear, or as in this case a box with two pacifiers.
And now for the key of the day. As you know, we got loads of sweet keys in the Live and Love Crafts store. Here is one of them, its named "Key To My Heart" which is the right words when it comes to new babies <3 <3 <3
I have of course added some shabby blue frantage on the key too, and the whole cake got groups of blue pearls here and there:
Hope you enjoyed something different than a card from me this week ;)
Til we meet again...
Hugs & Kisses

Spring Bringer

I thought I'd take my picture outside while it was cloudy.  I figured that meant no direct sunlight so thought it might make a good picture.  It's a little dark but I still like it.  I hung it in my plum tree.  LOL!

Even though it's not spring I wanted to use this image because of the huge bouquet of flowers.  The image is a Wee Stamp called "Spring Bringer".  I wish someone would come up with "Summer Stayer".  LMBO!  I guess I could always move some where hot year round....ok not really.  Dang-it!  LOL!

At Live and Love Crafts Inspiration, this week we are showcasing KEYS!  And what a selection there is!  I managed to sneak 2 awesome keys onto my card.

I distressed all the edges using my Zutter distresser and then added cocoa Momento to all edges.

I've used a few Magnolia dies here which are the Tilda Lace border die, Leaf and Swirl and So Wrapped Lovely.   I tied up a big lace bow and added a key onto the heart die.

As you can see it's a thank you card so I distressed each letter and then adhered it to the arched piece of cardstock.  I made the flower under the cream colored rose center and added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.  The foam stems are from LLC but you won't see any cream colored ones.  I actually painted those so they would match and they paint and dry rather nicely.  hee hee

More Wild Orchid Craft flowers, one ginormous Paislee flower and another gorgeous key from LLC.  I also added some lace underneath, which you can barely see peeking out.

Well that's all I have to show this week.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

As You Wish

Hi everyone! It's Alyce here today and I am sharing my latest card for the DT theme of Keys!! I had a lot of fun with this Tiddlyinks image called As You Wish; I played with sponging a few different Distress Inks around the image to create the background.

To incorporate the keys theme I had the idea of 'Key to my Heart' with the image... so I made a little key chain idea down on the bottom left using some twine and some key charms :)

If you would like to see the list of copic colours that I used to colour this up please head over to my blog :) The supply list of colours are down the bottom of this post aswell :)

Thanks for stopping by!! xx

Special Delivery

Morning everyone, Becky here today. It's nearly the end of the summer holidays, I managed to wangle my shifts so I have spent most of the time with my kids. I know they have been missing their friends, but I'm going to miss them when they go back.

I've coloured Delivery From Heaven with distress markers and reinkers, I've used rock candy crackle paint on the blanket for extra texture.

I've used papers from both the Life By The Sea and also Life In The Country 6x6 pads from Maja Design. The edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain and also with a Tim Holtz tool.

All of the links for what I have used are at the end of the post, remember to check out the WOC flowers that Sandy now stocks.

Hugs,

Becky xx

Silent Night X-mas Card

Good eve Everyone,
It's Sandy here with Tina's inspiration card for this week's theme "keys".

I do apologize both to you and to Tina that I'm posting so late; I've been a busy bee today packing the weekend orders.

Without further ado, here's Tina's card:
The papers are from Pion Design's 2012 Christmas Collection "Silent Night" and the angel image is from Inkido.

Here's a close up of the charm "Key to the Kingdom".
Tina embossed the key with "Shabby White".

Here's a better view of the metal rose, which also has been embossed.

Thanks for stopping by tonight.

Hugz from Tina & Sandy
